System description
A standpipe and hose system puts pressurized water within reach of the in-house brigade and the fire department, through hose cabinets and connections distributed throughout the building. We specialize in installing these systems in accordance with NFPA 14 and, for underground exterior piping, NFPA 24.
A standpipe and hose system consists of the piping (aboveground, underground, or both), the standpipes that feed each cabinet, the hose cabinets with hose and valve, and the fire department connection. The system is supplied by the fire pump room and the building’s water reserve.
