System description
In flammable liquid hazards, water alone is not enough: foam forms a blanket that separates the fuel from the air and helps control the fire. We specialize in installing foam suppression systems in accordance with NFPA 11.
A foam system mixes a concentrate with water in the right proportion and discharges it over the protected area through nozzles, foam chambers, or monitors. The type of concentrate and the discharge method are defined by the liquid being protected and the characteristics of the area.
When foam is combined with sprinklers or deluge systems, the reference standard is NFPA 16.
