Fire pump room

The hydraulic heart of the system: fire pump equipment under NFPA 20.

Fire pump room with pumping equipment, a control panel, and red piping labeled “Agua vs incendio” (water vs. fire).
FIG. 01 — FIRE PUMP ROOM

System description

The fire pump room gives the fire protection piping the flow and pressure it needs: the sprinkler and standpipe systems depend on it. We specialize in installing fire pump rooms in accordance with NFPA 20, the standard for stationary pumps for fire protection.

A fire pump room brings together the main fire pump (driven by an electric motor or a diesel engine), the jockey pump that maintains system pressure, the controller for each pump, and the suction and discharge piping with its valves. Equipment selection starts from the demand of the system the pump will supply.

We have personnel trained and authorized by Clarke Fire Protection Products to perform inspections, maintenance, and commissioning of Clarke Fire engines, following the protocols indicated by NFPA 20.

In addition to installation, we service fire pump equipment through our preventive and corrective maintenance and fire pump performance testing service lines.
